About Us

A native New Yorker, Becca moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University’s renowned theatre program. Beginning her career as one of the most sought-after jingle writers/session vocalists in Chicago, Becca quickly expanded her talents to producing musical showcases and albums, providing commercial voice overs, and becoming a wedding expert featured on TV and radio—including her own radio show “I Do, I Do” on 105.9fm, WCKG. Becca has been leading her own society band, BKO, for the past 14 years and nearly 10 years ago launched BeatMix Music, hoping to match every client with an unparalleled music experience. Becca has appeared on stage with performers such as Lily Tomlin, Brooke Shields, Phoebe Snow, Tony Roberts, and Ellen Burstyn and a few years ago was a spotlight performer in the Broadway Chicago Concert in Millennium Park singing for over 19,000 people. She is also in the feature film Scrooge & Marley, appearing as a comedic cabaret singer. And, should you wonder where her hometown loyalties reside—she has sung the National Anthem for both the world-champion Chicago Bulls and her forever-losing New York Knicks. Becca feels privileged to have a life and career in music.

Mike hails from the state of Cal-i-for-ni-yay and has been involved in the music industry since the age of 16. After working his first private event at the Standard Club in Chicago, he quickly realized how integrated music is in every moment of an event’s ultimate success. Mike has dedicated his career to understanding all particulars of an event, while maintaining an open ear to his clients, to meld a harmonious flow on every engagement. As Director of Sales + Logistics at BeatMix Music, he oversees the behind-the-scenes details of every event. He is a favorite with clients and BeatMix Music bandleaders because of his authenticity and compassion. Mike ensures that the client’s musical vision is accomplished and that all elements of each performance are meticulously planned and executed. Days off are rare for Mike, but when he is not helping to make memories for his clients, he is out fishing.

Tammy is more than an office manager, she is the glue that keeps BeatMix Music together. A Chicagoland native, Tammy is the BeatMix Music gatekeeper. She is the kind voice clients first hear when calling the office and the initial one to respond to inquiries. She has an amazing ability to juggle multiple tasks at one time, yet still finds ways to keep everyone and everything organized and balanced. Tammy thrives on creativity and fits right in with our diverse crew. Her top 3 concerts she’s been to so far have been Richard Marx, Jason Mraz, and Sarah McLachlan. When not on Facebook, you can find Tammy hanging out with her family and friends, giving back to multiple organizations that are close to her heart, and drinking a fair amount of Diet Coke.

Zoe Bendoff is a multidisciplinary creative with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from UW–Madison, along with minors in Digital Studies and Studio Art. Her experience spans visual storytelling, leadership, and strategic thinking, shaped by roles like Graphics Editor at The Daily Cardinal and Camp Director at Lake of the Woods overnight camp. After completing portfolio school for Art Direction, she leaned into creative strategy and now serves as Director of Corporate Business Development at BeatMix. In this role, she combines her love for design and messaging with big-picture thinking. She thrives on the challenge of pulling consistent, intentional storytelling through talent, visuals, and experience. Whether she’s illustrating, concepting, or closing a deal, Zoe is passionate about transforming events into immersive, unforgettable moments.

As Creative Music Director, Mike oversees all of BeatMix’s custom musical solutions: writing arrangements, preparing sheet music, producing recordings, and more. He was a founding member of BKO and an early advocate for BeatMix’s growth. In 2022 he officially joined the company full-time (after leaving a 15-year career in higher education, during which he was regularly performing & writing as a freelancer for BeatMix).

As a guitarist, composer, and arranger, Mike’s expressive approach is at once intellectual, technical, and soulful. He is in demand in Chicago and internationally, performing at Chicago’s top venues and at major festivals & conferences across Europe. For BeatMix, you can find him on stage with a variety of groups, including BPM, Hitstrumental, Whispering Creek, and Acoustic Groove.

Mike lives in Elmwood Park with his wonderful wife Laura and three kids.

Isaiah is a Chicago-based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger with a versatile background across genres from jazz and classical to pop and soul. He’s performed with world-renowned artists like Andrea Bocelli, Renée Fleming, and yes—that Ellie Banke from your TikTok For You Page. As the bandleader of The Party Faithful, one of BeatMix Music’s dance bands, Isaiah delivers unforgettable live music experiences. He was a featured soloist at SHRM’s national conference for an audience of over 20,000 and was recently commissioned to write a custom string arrangement for an internationally touring violin group. A proud Elmhurst University alum, he performed in jazz combos, choirs, and classical ensembles, earning multiple “Outstanding Soloist” awards. Outside of music, he enjoys anime, competitive board games, and still thinks about playing basketball—before quickly remembering he’s not 19 anymore.

Longtime BeatMix employee, Chris Parsons, has worn many hats since BeatMix’s beginning and his current role as Music Coordinator has become his favorite and most rewarding. In addition to overseeing our ever-expanding music library, Chris works with our stable of writers and arrangers to make sure that every First Dance, Special Request and unique musical vision meets BeatMix’s gold standard. If there’s a special mashup that needs to be done, Chris will be the one that gets it put together. In addition to his role in the office, you’ll see Chris playing guitar every weekend with BeatMix’s own Time Chicago. Outside of his BeatMix responsibilities, Chris is the director of the famed Elmhurst University Jazz Festival, co-leads the Blueshift Big Band, and (most importantly) spends time with his wife and two daughters.

Eric Mayer has been a part of the BeatMix team since 2018. He began as a crew member before quickly moving into client-facing roles, ensuring events ran smoothly from both the technical and human side. Eric holds a degree in Audio Design and Production from Columbia College Chicago, and his work in live events sparked a passion for helping people navigate the pressures of big moments.

That passion led him to earn a Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and spend two years as a therapist, supporting individuals through life’s challenges. Returning to BeatMix as Project Manager, Eric now combines his technical expertise and interpersonal skills to coordinate logistics, manage staffing, and keep both clients and crews supported every step of the way. 

Lukas Westerberg is BeatMix Music’s warehouse manager, responsible for overseeing all of our self-contained sound and music equipment. With a B.S. in Sound Recording Technology from DePaul University, Lukas originally joined BeatMix as a sound engineer and quickly became an essential part of the team. His deep technical expertise and love for all things audio ensure every piece of gear is show-ready and perfectly prepped. When he’s not managing equipment or blasting death metal in the warehouse, you’ll find him at home with his partner and three kids, working on his guitars, or still grieving the loss of Ozzy Osbourne like the true metalhead he is.

A Chicagoland native and recent graduate of the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, Gabe Schonman has been singing and making music as long as he can remember. Gabe is a founding member of the professional, Chicago-based a cappella group, Radius, who’s performed in more than 20 different states and took home the title of “2023 Harmony Sweepstakes National Champions.” Gabe is an award-winning vocalist and arranger, with Radius and beyond, whose work has been sung around the country and heard by thousands, including Supreme Court Justices, and his voice has also been heard alongside the likes of Steve Wonder, Celine Dion and Gloria Estefan, among others. You may have seen Gabe taking the stage with any of the BeatMix bands or with countless other curated BeatMix ensembles within the last few years. Gabe loves being a part of the BeatMix team and is excited to see what the future holds!

Born and raised in Illinois, J Infusiono has spent over 15 years bringing unforgettable live music and event experiences to life. He began as a freelance live sound engineer, earning a reputation for delivering precise, high-energy audio for concerts, festivals, and special events. Over the years, he has managed crews, designed technical systems, and made sure every performance lands with maximum impact. Now, as Production Manager at BeatMix Music, he’s excited to put his skills to work alongside the incredible BeatMix family. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Audio Production and is fluent in QSC Q-SYS, Biamp, BSS Audio, and industry-leading DAWs. Outside of work, you’ll often find him jamming and making music with friends.
